Workshop
On this evening Kristina Kaplejuh will introduce the basics of linocut and show effective ways of conceptualising it. Together, we will sketch our ideas and transfer the designs to the lino block. We will learn how to give our prints depth and contrast to enhance visual effects. Kapeljuh will provide a solid basic understanding of the techniques and principles of linocut and show its versatile possibilities.
Ukrainian artist Kristina Kapeljuh’s work deals with the synergy of movement, fluidity and metamorphosis. Her core concept reflects contemporary metaphysics and dynamic patterns of materiality in a state of flux. Combining printmaking, intuitive drawing and digital media, her hybrid approach explores the complex relationships between materiality, temporality and form.
Her works are currently on display in the group exhibition What Happens between the knots at Kunstraum Schwaz.
